Getting away from his roots September 5, 2010 Smooth Jazz lover (Milwaukee, Wi) It seems a lot of the smooth jazz artists are steering away from the smooth grooves they once produced, and favoring more R&B styles. I was hoping this would be his return after his disappointing "Bringing Back the Funk" album. It fails. This album only had a few smooth tracks that were worth listening to, the rest were too "hip-hop". If you're looking for smooth keyboards, I suggest Brian Simpson's "South Beach" album over this one. Really wish Culbertson would bring it back the way he used to.
Brian at his BEST August 25, 2010 Monica Bowers (DeWitt, MI, US) I've been a fan for years, have all Brian's CD's. This one is now my FAVORITE. Unmistakably BC, but with great funk and blues twists. LOVE this one! The cut with Sinbad makes me smile every time!
