confusion April 26, 2010 Brandy R. Mckinnon (Texas USA) This song has been everywhere and it was starting to get on my nerves but I must say that it has grown on me and I like singing to it going to work...its becoming bearable.
I absolutely hate country music... but I love this song April 19, 2010 J. Walsh (Milwaukee, WI United States) Great song (definitely the best song to come out since One Republic's "Apologize" (and this is from a guy who tends to favor Metal music overall)). I Need You Now has a great story, awesome vocals and mostly well done instrumentation. On this song, they sound way more like a mainstream pop band than a country band. HOWEVER... this could be an issue: I want to get an MP3 of it... however, I hear it on KISS FM and I swear the version there is less country. Does anyone know anything on various mixes of this song? I have searched wiki and various places, I have found some extreme dance remixes, but I just want the version of the song that gets played on pop radio and I have seen nothing definatively discussing various mixes. Unless I am imagining things, the version I hear on pop radio seems to be mixed more for pop... the bass seems louder, guitars seem more polished than twangy, steel guitar is pushed to the back of the mix (or maybe even out completely), etc. All in all, there rightfully seems to be less twang in the KISS FM version. When I listen to MP3s on Amazon, the song here seems more country than it does on the radio. Any insight would be greatly appreciated... otherwise I am going to suck it up and just grab this version. My guess is the version on "Now 33" is probably what I want, but that one is not available via MP3.
Bittersweet Symphony April 17, 2010 Amaranth (Northern California) "Need You Now" is a beautiful, bittersweet breakup song. The relationship is over.. but some feelings remain. "Need You Now" is a grown up, mature song compared to the sappy sweetness of Taylor Swift. Swift sings about innocent young love. This song addresses heartbreak and loss. Do we really want to reunite with those who have broken our hearts? Or would we rather have a drink? There's a tear between the present moment and what happened. "Need You Now" is a bittersweet country masterpiece. Lady Antebellum is one of the most promising country groups out now. Hopefully this is the beginning of great things.
JUST GOOD MUSIC!!!! March 26, 2010 susan christensen (WYOMING, USA) I LOVE THE VOICES OF THE TWO LEAD SINGERS.HIS GRAVELLY,
HERS SWEET. ITS ONE OF MY FAVE WESTERN MUSIC CD'S!!
Beautiful Song March 21, 2010 N. Johnson (Takoma Park, MD) I heard this song for the first time when they performed it on The Grammy's. I was immediately moved to tears. I went straight to youtube to find out if I'd heard what I thought I did. I had and so I bought it either here, on amazon or on iTunes.
I must have listened to it a hundred times by now. The lyrics speak to my soul. The harmony is perfect. And the music is lovely.
I can't find a single thing wrong with this song except that I didn't hear it sooner.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!
