4 out of 5 stars This calls for a celebration....almost   August 10, 2010
J.R (Melbourne, Victoria Australia)
We all know when it comes to artists who have had a lot of success, it's very difficult to put together a greatest hits compilation without leaving out some great songs. Unfortunately in this case I find it hard to overlook the absences of "Angel", "Deeper & Deeper" & 'Nothing Really Matters". Especially when songs like "4 Minutes", "Miles Away", "Hollywood", "Revolver" & "Justify My Love" made the cut, other than that it's a well put together compilation.

4 out of 5 stars My favorite song is missing   July 23, 2010
Edward J. Mendelssohn (Palo Alto, CA United States)
I have not bought this CD and am debating whether I should. The reason is that my favorite song is not in this collection... "True Blue". It was not on "Immaculate Collection" either. Does anyone know why? That song had a great oldies sound to it that I really loved and was also a pretty big hit.

3 out of 5 stars Worst compilation from one of the greatest artists!!!   June 29, 2010

This is a shockingly bad compilation from Madonna and or her record company executives.
I am truly disappointed with this release, the track listing the cover art and the general haphazad way it seems to have been put together. Considering Madonna is the greatest female music performer in history, this "3rd" greatest hits compilation is a mess.

It is arranged in neither a chronological nor thematic way. Her "Immaculate Collection" in 1990 was a superb compilation and her "GHV2" was pretty good too.
If ever an artist was crying out for a lavish box set with many cd's, dvd's and a coffee table book of images for good measure, it is Madonna.

Maybe on her 30th musiclal anniversary in 2012?... we can only hope 4th time is charm :)

5 out of 5 stars Great Compilation   June 21, 2010

I thought this was a really great compilation set and included just about all of the Madonna songs that I love to workout and dance to - a fun way to lose weight according to [...]. I saw Madonna in concert years ago, and she was awesome. I still think she's awesome and her music is definetly worth a listen.

3 out of 5 stars You can buy the previous hits albums cheaper.   June 7, 2010

This is a decent collection, but I bought Immaculate Collection, GHV2 and the Next Best Thing OST (for American Pie) all used through Amazon; along with four songs from Something To Remember (which weren't on the others and a couple of which were not on here). I saved $6 compared to the mp3 price.
