Product Description
Southfield, Michigan-bred Mike Posner, 22, is not only a recent Duke University graduate but also an incredible producer/singer/songwriter. He has already built a rabid following by tirelessly touring including dates on the Warped Tour. Mike calls his sound guiltless pop music and features the work of producer Benny Blanco (Britney Spears, Ke$ha). The first single from 31 Minutes To Takeoff, Cooler Than Me, has exploded at radio and is dominating the charts.

Album Description
2010 debut album from the Detroit-born singer, songwriter and producer. Posner has already released two highly successful mixtapes, which helped build groundwork for this, his official debut as an artist. Features the hit 'Cooler Than Me'.

3 out of 5 stars Alittle Dissappointed =(   September 9, 2010
Shawn R. Finch (Albany, New York)
I was really excited about Mike Posner when I first heard of him. "Cooler Than Me" took alittle while, but it actually grew on me. To be honest, besides "Cooler Than Me" the only song I really like on this album is track number 5 with Boyz II Men. I think Mike Posner is really talented and a great song writter but this album really let me down. I'm just not really a big fan of this whole "Cali" style album. It's too West Coast and there's more too this world than the West Coast lol. Soo, when ur makin an album u gotta take into consideration everyone lol! It's not really an album, that people from New York can vibe to when it's got that whole "Cali" vibe lol! I bought this album, the day it came out and I think I literally listened to it for a week and haven't listened too it since lol! Idk if I would recommend this album or not, it's not b/c he's a bad artist just b/c I don't feel this album is what it could of been lol! Soo, I'll leave it up for u to decided!?

1 out of 5 stars This is not Mike Posner   September 7, 2010
Audiophile (columbus, OH)
Let me begin by stating I have been a fan of this artist for about two years when he was an underground artist performing in dive bars in the midwest. The pop success of "Cooler than Me" will has made him a pop icon but unfortunately ruined his edge. His mixtapes are brilliant. Better than most R&B albums over the past few years with "Cooler than Me" not even in the running for top billing. This is not a review of this trash album which I wont even address because it much like this review does not represent his music. Hit up the net for mixtape songs like "Mirrors Edge", "Bring Me Down", "Speed of Sound", "Hey Cupid" and "Losing My Mind" just to name a few. I can assure you if you stick to his mixtapes you will be pleasantly surprised. Disregard the album and check out One Foot Out the Door and A Matter of Time. Good Luck

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Album   August 24, 2010
D. Le (Westminster, CA)
Mike Posner's album is amazing in every sense of the word. Everybody who's against this album is seriously on crack and possibly high. SERIOUSLY, HIGH!

This album is personal, yet inviting in its soothing melodies. His voice is truly enchanting and you can groove like mad to it. What a debut album... surely a top contender for Artist of the year.

4 out of 5 stars A Talented new male artist FINALLY!   August 19, 2010
Michael D. O'connell (NEW YORK, NY)
Mike Posner sings about real life situations unlike any other male artist today, in the POP world. Rock musicians (John Mayer, Jason Mraz Etc.) and RnB (NEYO, John Legend Etc) can sing about realistic situations about love with good beats, but there has not been a pop artist able to do this in quite some time.

His Lyrics are smart and clever and his beats are catchy!
I thoroughly enjoy this cd.
My favorite song is PLEASE DON'T GO. This song is brilliant and I find myself listening to this on repeat. ********
I also like : Fallin, Cheated, and Another Love Song.

If you enjoy good beats, and have ever been in love/ suffered a broken heart you can enjoy Mike Posner!
